VJ Ziegler-Acevedo

V.J. Ziegler-Acevedo, a passionate writer and cat lover, holds a Bachelor of Science in Office Administration from Fort Hays State University, where she graduated in 1987. Born in Hays, Kansas, and raised in Dallas and Garland, Texas, she was actively involved in Camp Fire Girls, golf, dance and choir throughout her education.

Her inspiration to write emerged from a legend about the Virgin Mary, which she encountered while living in El Paso, Texas. This legend sparked a creative urge that led her to pen her first story in December 2005. Throughout her life, VJ has had a deep connection with cats, having cared for as many as 18. Her literary influences include her mother, who nurtured her love of reading, and authors like Velda Johnston and Mickey Spillane.

VJ describes her writing style as meticulous, imaginative, and inspirational. In her personal life, she enjoys reading, playing golf, and spending time with her husband Carlos and four cats.  A fourth-generation student of Fort Hays State University, she embodies a strong sense of family and faith, emphasizing the importance of preparedness and a return to spiritual values.
